Ok I must admit I love Crysis and imo it’s still one of the best looking games out there. Now recently I just wanted to play Crysis 2 but couldn’t find it on Steam. Then I remembered a news post on Steam where stated that there seemed to be a problem with CryTek and Steam (not EA as many thought) so Crysis 2 was available on Steam only for a short time. I’ve done a quick search on the web to find an adequate shop to buy Crysis 2 and came up with this Origin client stuff (btw Greenmangaming offers a good price).
I’m kind of confused now. So many articles about Origin none about Crysis 2. What the hell did EA with this software? I’ve read so many articles about the critical point about Origin, the EULA. Ok I understand that publishers want to provide the max to their customers but to me personally the original EULA had nothing to do with customer service but with nazi methods or in other words spyware.
Why the hell do they want to scan my harddrive? I mean even Steam doesn’t go that far??? Olaf Coenen from EA Germany stated that there is no need to panic since Origin scans parts of your system to provide the max compatibility for patches etc. Yeah!!!
As it seems I won’t play Crysis for now. Not until it will be released on Steam. Good luck EA.
